And all rejoiced in football heaven.
For they were preparing to play
Big game number forty-seven.

The rematch from Thanksgiving ‘11
Baltimore versus San Fran.
Brother against brother
To see who'll rule the Harbaugh clan.

Baltimore brings us the Ravens 
While San Fran gives us the ‘Niners.
They’ll both put it all on the line
To see which team is truly finer.

The ‘Niners are explosive
They are feisty, they are quick.
I just need some more time
To learn how to spell Kaepernick.

The Ravens are strength
And power and grace.
Flacco on the attack
And Ray Lewis is in your face.

The Superdome’s the place
Though the Saints will be nil and few.
Who dat is taking a holiday
With Coach Sean and QB Drew. 

How ironic it is
In this city o’ good times
That the two best will play
In the shadow of bounty fines.

Alicia Keyes will sing the anthem
Of which we never tire
Her vocals like jets will soar
We'll think this girl is on fire.

The coin will be tossed
And all the captains lean in to check
John Harbaugh will stand stoic
Coach Jim grabs the pen that’s round his neck

The teams begin battle
As the game gets under way
When the second quarter ends
It'll be time for Beyoncé

She'll sing and she’ll dance
It will get pretty wild.
And then she’ll reunite

They’ll perform as a group
Wowing you and wowing me.
The only thing unknown
Will there be a cameo from Jay Z?

Then halftime is over
The teams will return.
To put into action
Revised game plans they've learned

As the points get racked up
We'll see a power run from Gore.
A TD from Ray Rice
Who’ll score less?  Who’ll score more?

And then it will end
The final gun it will sound.
One team jumping for joy
The other slumped to the ground.

Super Bowl is now over
It is now history
One team lifts up the big trophy
That is called Lombardi

The ball it has bounced
We’re left with a team that is beaten.
While we sit with regret
Cause we spent the whole game live tweeting.

The game gives greatness and glory
As the winning team pops the cork
Get excited for next year
