It’s my MARKet, so I’m gonna share……The only thing more boring than the Oscars telecast would have been a black and white, silent, French movie.  Oh, wait.....Did you see all the montages featuring great moments from Oscar ceremonies in the past.  Safe bet future montages will feature no moments from 2012……How is it possible we can put a man into space but we still haven’t figured out how to make one pair of scissors usable by both lefties and righties……New Jersey Governor Chris Christie felt it was proper to honor crack-addicted singer Whitney Houston upon her death by ordering the lowering of the flags in the state to half-staff.  Previously, flying a flag at half- staff was reserved for honoring those in the military.  More recently, it has been broadened to honor “great Americans.” Whitney Houston was neither of those. What’s more maddening is that Governor Christie didn’t feel any of the 144 servicemen who have died in Iraq or Afghanistan were worthy of the same honor.  He should be ashamed………Governor Christie is also the one who should decide what is proper in regards to who can and can’t get married in the state of New Jersey.  Despite the legislature of the state passing a vote allowing gay marriage, Governor Christie vetoed it.  So let’s see, he honors Whitney Houston, disrespects the military and wants to forbid people who love each other from getting married because it is improper.  Maybe he should start to focus on how proper it is to get up from the table before asking for thirds and taking dessert home in a doggy bag……So let’s get this straight - The headline “Linsanity at Madison Square Garden” had nothing to do with Lindsay Lohan going nuts during a Rangers game and trying to chip ice off the rink to chill her alcoholic beverage of choice?  Who knew?  As for the unique Jeremy Lin, he’s to a Harvard-educated, Asian basketball player who has excelled since coming off the bench.  What a novelty, right?  Not so much.  Anybody remember Yao Ming?  He joined the league and led the Rockets to the playoffs four times.  Jeremy Lin?  He’s helped lead the Knicks to a seven game winning streak (good) and then a thrashing by the Miami Heat right before the All-Star Game (bad). So before we all lose our freakLIN minds, maybe we should see what this kid can do over the long haul……I hope nobody is feeling too bad for Tom Brady on his loss in the Super Bowl.  His Sunday consisted of waking up, getting paid $44,000 to play and lose a kid’s game and then going home to sleep with Gisele Bundchen.  We should all have Sunday’s that lousy………Belated condolences to the family of Gary Carter, or as Met fans fondly call him, The Kid.  Carter was the catcher for the Mets in their World Series year of 1986 and never once showed up to the ballpark ready and willing to give anything but his best.  He truly encompassed the word sportsman and he will be missed……If they would make giant fireballs part of every NASCAR race, I might watch more often………The new cast of Dancing with the Stars was announced and I’ll just say that ABC’s definition of the word “star” is about as wide as a porn producer’s use of the word “teen”……Is anybody really listening to the Republican candidates argue and thinking to themselves, yeah, this is the guy that will solve America’s problems?  The more Rick Santorum speaks, the more he makes Michelle Bachmann look like the sane one.  He has admitted his fears of Satan and criticized JFK for standing up for the separation of church and state, something mentioned in the First Amendment to the US Constitution.  He is criticizing the Constitution?  He is running for President of this country but hates the ideals on which it was founded.  Yeah, he’s a leader we should get behind……All I can think of when I see the CBS Cares commercial where Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon discuss his “secret fantasy” of getting a colonoscopy is that he’s lying.  He’s a freaking mega-rich rock star, his secret fantasy does not involve a long, wiry camera shoved inside his butt.  Although, with rock stars, you never know……To help his fundraising for his re-election, the President an African-Americans for Obama website.  So nobody will have a problem when Mitt launches White People for Romney, right?  No double standard there……OK, I’ve shared.  Now it’s your turn.  Agree?  Disagree?  Have at it.  See you next month
