It’s my MARKet, so I’m gonna Share….Anti-greed? Anti-corporate? With more than $500,000 in their multiple bank accounts and shopping for office space in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, those Occupy Wall Street folks are a lot closer to the 1% than I am. I just hope they don’t have to lay anyone off soon if profits start slipping. If there are layoffs, they will probably come via their iPhones and laptops made by corporations overseas using cheap labor. The hypocritical Occupy Wall Street protest has gone from a movement to a business venture…it’s been reported that Lindsay Lohan will get paid one million dollars to pose for Playboy. Forget that this is ten years after the fact that she was attractive and not the train wreck starving for attention and wreaking of desperation she has become. If anyone was that interested in seeing her private area, they only need to go online and find a shot of her wearing see-through tops and getting out of a car wearing a skirt…Congrats to the St. Louis Cardinals for winning what I was told was a very exciting World Series. I didn’t watch much. Did you? Did your kids? If you were on the east coast, probably not. Not with games ending after 11PM. Sure, there is some apathy because “your” team wasn’t in it, but still, this is the Fall Classic. More importantly, baseball is losing the next generation of fans in exchange for advertising dollars by not playing even one game in daylight hours. What kid is staying up on a school night past 11? Baseball could take a page from the NFL which has the biggest football game of the year, and usually the highest rated program of the year, end before 9:30 at night…So a bear, a mountain lion and a monkey were walking down the street in Ohio. Seems like the start of a great joke, but it isn’t. This really happened when a game keeper freed his menagerie of various species of exotic, wild and dangerous animals just before killing himself. I guess this helps to explain all the cheetahs at Ohio State University…Northern California, and more importantly the world, lost two great visionaries recently. Steve Jobs redefined how we listen to music. Remember the “walkman,” the clunky radio or tape player we used to carry around thinking it was so compact and convenient? If you do, you can bet your kids don’t and that’s thanks to Steve Jobs. You can also thank him for millions of wasted man-hours as folks hurl angry birds at egg-stealing green pigs. Al Davis was the owner of the Oakland Raiders, an original AFL team from before there was an NFL and a Super Bowl. He was one of the architects most responsible for forcing the merger that created the game as we know it and watch it today. Often called a maverick and responsible for the slogan “just win, baby,” he saw the future of football and built the league. A big thanks to both these great men, sincere appreciation for ignoring the many naysayers and condolences to their families. Both will be greatly missed….Burn Notice is back on USA this month and that is about the best TV news you could ever want to hear……Divorce already between Kim Kardashian and her new husband, despite only being married a few months. You mean to tell me a romance played out in front of the cameras and on TV, which featured an over-the-top televised wedding that aired in two parts and which starred a reality TV whore like Kim may not really be a match made in heaven? Color me shocked. Now with two divorces, she really is living life like her idol Elizabeth Taylor, minus all that pesky talent……The first couple of months of the basketball season have been cancelled due to the owners locking out the players. Seems they can’t agree on how to split millions of dollars in league revenue. Millionaires are arguing with other millionaires over who should get more millions of dollars. Go team……For the first time in a very long time, snow fell in the northeast in October, creating a white Halloween. Given that Christmas displays are already up in a lot of stores, this weather seems oddly appropriate. Remember, get your shopping done now, Easter is just around the corner…The ESPN Body issue came out last month. It’s just like the swimsuit issue from Sports Illustrated, minus the swimsuits and judging from the athletes posing, minus a lot of body hair as well…I watched a videotape recently. Something I hadn’t done in a very long time. It was an appearance I made on TV ages ago. Tough to decide which has degraded faster - the quality of the tape or my hairline…Hank Williams Jr. lost his job as the opening singer on Monday Night Football because of a bad joke he made about the President, the leader of our free nation. Well, free as long as you don’t make fun of the President……I’m glad I was wrong. The Office is just as good and bizarre without Steve Carrell……Remember, if you like what you’ve read, share this with your friends and add me to your Watch list so you don’t miss a thing. If you don’t like what you’ve read, share the outrage with your friends and add me to your Watch list so you can see who I offend next time………OK, I’ve shared. Now it’s your turn. Agree? Disagree? Have at it. See you next month.
