The best presenter was Bob Hope, neither young, nor hip………While I love the concept of democracy taking over in Egypt and the Middle East, I can’t help but worry when all the Western-wear and young women vanished in the final days only to be replaced by robed thugs and women completely covered up. I do hope it plays out for the best, but I advise caution……Kudos to Howard Stern for finding a unique use for Twitter. If you missed it, he tweeted his commentary throughout a recent airing of Private Parts on cable. He answered fan questions tweeted to him and he shared some great insight, coming across as humble and gracious………I really do enjoy the experience of making my lunch for tomorrow the night before. It makes me feel like I really am an organized person……I totally blew my Super Bowl projection. Never would have thought the Steelers would play like the Jets did against them – laying down for a bit and then trying to come back. Great job by Green Bay. Fingers are crossed they solve this labor thing sooner rather than later…Speaking of unions and these government shutdowns, stop it. You unions are upset because you are being asked to pay for parts of your health insurance like the rest of us do and not have as much of your guaranteed pension waiting for you. And that is ridiculous. You are not fighting to stay out of the Triangle Waist Shirt factory. State governments can’t afford you anymore, so be reasonable, join the rest of the world in paying for part of your healthcare, and move on……Love that Spring training games have begun, but with the Phillie’s rotation, not sure they need to bother playing the games……As for Charlie Sheen, forget the train wreck of the month, this guy is going for the decade. He is imploding on every media outlet he can get on, adding a nice touch of crazy to the whole proceeding………I get that so many folks thought it was provocative, but the whole Lady Gaga in an egg thing totally escaped me. Her new song sounds like an early 80’s Madonna leftover too. I’m thinking she’s in to her 14th minute before she jumps the shark…….Memo to all the geniuses who predicted a warm-ish, easy Winter for the North-East: You were soooooo wrong……Why is car shopping so difficult? I want a good price. I go to the dealer and I get a price. I go home and I do homework and find out the right price. I go back and then I get a good price. Why do I have to show my homework first?
