It's my MARKet, so I'm gonna Share...I would have been here sooner in the month, but I have been waiting for the ringing in my ears from the vuvuzalas to stop....I thought the US played some great soccer in the World Cup. If they could only put a complete game together they might have gone further, but you can't take the first 10 minutes off at the start of each match....In the space of one week, I read the two latest novels by John Sandford and Lee Child. If you read and these guys aren't on your radar, you are missing a treat....Since when did it become OK that a trip to the movies for two should cost close to $50 even before the snacks? Add in taking the kids and I start dipping into the college funds....I noticed that Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger were hanging out together at a World Cup game. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to overhear their conversations....Loved seeing the Lakers and Celtics battle it out for the NBA title. Seemed like old times and Kobe held up the Laker tradition well. Lebron who????....I am loving it that Tiger Woods is now like all the other golfers struggling to make the cut at tournaments. I just wish the networks that cover golf would stop treating him as if he was the Tiger of old. He isn't, and we don't need to see every shot he takes when there are more compelling stories during a tournament...Now that we are a month after the fact, anybody still care or wondering about the weird ending of LOST? Nope, me neither....Given the problems all the initial releases of the various iPhone versions have had, why is anyone surprised that there are issues with the new one? And really, waiting overnight to buy a phone that doesn't even work correctly? Priorities people, priorities....The 30th anniversary of "Airplane!" is this month. "Surely you jest," you must be thinking. I'm not, and don't call me Shirley...Now that the US is out of the World Cup, America can go back to ignoring soccer again, right?....With the kids at camp I have actually had to start writing letters again. Real letters, with stamps and envelopes and a mailbox not attached to my computer. Yeah it's old fashioned, but hopefully my kids will let me know they appreciate it when they update their Facebook status....Seeing "Toy Story 3" is like seeing old friends you lost touch with. Those characters are always welcome....Heard there was a real long tennis match that lasted a couple of days. Since neither competitor was named Nadel, Federer, or Williams, I didn't see a second of it and not many people I know did either....I get that he is quite popular, but if I ever thought I had Beiber Fever, I would rush to the ER to get it treated....When did Adam Sandler start becoming unfunny? His first three movies look like comic masterpieces now compared to his latest stuff.....You ever wish you could go from here to there in the blink of an eye instead of walking, driving, riding, etc...? Like teleporting? Me too.....As baseball season heads into the All-Star break, I am loving that nobody is running away with it yet in any division. Should make for an exciting second half of the season....OK, I shared. Now it is your turn. Have at it.
